In California, the White Sands Coastal Development team transformed an aging Spanish bungalow into a vibrant, eclectic space. The creative couple who owned the home decided to renovate to better fit their lifestyle. Built-in storage and a powder room were added to enhance functionality.
The interior stucco was extended throughout the house, curving around corners and edges to form a seamless fireplace mantle, hood, arched passageways, and hollow storage nooks. Phase two included replacing rotting wooden doors and windows with aluminum windows and new French doors. A bubble-gum pink front door with simple cut-outs added a touch of coastal art deco, reminiscent of Miami. The exterior was re-stuccoed, and the polished concrete roof deck was resurfaced.
